We are honored by your presence!
Glory to Jesus Christ! Слава Іисусу Христу!
Our community is an Orthodox-Catholic contemplative religious institution grounded in the Byzantine-Rite tradition, located on Ploss Lake in the Village of Oxford, about 50 miles north of Detroit, Michigan.
On October 24, 2013, the community was established for the glory of Jesus Christ and dedicated to Mary the Mother of God under the title of Our Lady Joy of All Who Sorrow.
The Feast of the Icon of Our Lady Joy of All Who Sorrow, commemorated on October 24th, remembers the healing from sickness of a woman named Euphymia (sister of Patriarch Joachim) received after obeying a voice telling her to find this icon and have the priest celebrate a Molieben with blessing of water. This miracle occurred on October 24, 1688.
Through our life of prayer and work, we strive to serve the Lord and propagate our faith and its teachings for ourselves and our posterity, uniting together exclusively for the worship of God in the Holy Trinity; for the receiving of the Holy Mysteries; for the observance of the faith, morals and discipline of the Orthodox-Catholic Church of America.
We deeply appreciate your kind generosity!
